It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it’. Aristotle

In order to hone the speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions, Sri VIS hosted Behes Dwarka Round on September 27 and 28, 2019. The show commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony to spread the light of knowledge. A duet presentation of Vocals and Instrumental was showcased by few students of Sri VIS. Dia Thapa, one of the finest Baratnatyam dancer mesmerized everyone with her spellbounding presentation in Bharatnatyam. Students of class VII E also presented a small mime act on ‘Water Conservation’, leaving a strong message for the current generation towards the importance of water.

210 participants from various schools of Dwarka and Gurugram participated and put their best foot forward giving their opinions, arguments, facts and rebuttals for and against the topics provided to them. The highlight of the event was the first timers, Grade VI students participating in the Cubs Division from the host school and trying to rebut their opponents in the best possible way. The students also learnt to work as a team and be a patient listener in order to make themselves clear. This two day event was a kaleidoscope of opinions, thoughts, ideas and perspectives that definitely enhanced the knowledge and understanding of the students.

An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is smaller than the Sun's, blocking most of the Sun's light and causing the Sun to look like an annulus (ring). An annular eclipse appears as a partial eclipse over a region of the Earth thousands of kilometres wide.[1] The annularity will be visible in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam
