Jr Sc Talent Search Examination 2016 winners

JSTSE or the Jr Sc Talent Search Examination 2016 winners received their scholarship cheques and Certificates now.

Although 2017 batch saw 9 students clearing JSTSE.

Heartiest congratulations to stalwarts of Sri Venkateshwar International School who once again proved their mettle in the JSTSE 2016 by Directorate of Education of Govt of NCT Delhi! Four students of Sri VIS were among the first 50 students out of 1909, who appeared for this prestigious examination in 2016.

They received certificates of Merit and a prize money of Rs. 2000/- each. Sri VIS is proud of the students and their mentors. Junior Science Talent Search Examination or JSTSE is conducted by Science Branch of Education, Delhi in the month of January every year. 150 scholarships are allotted every year under JSTSE. Any student from a recognised school (Govt. /Govt. Aided/Public/KV/Navodaya/NDMC) in Delhi, currently in std 9 is eligible for this examination.

      Workshop on Creative writing and Effective speech
      The Junior Wing Staff underwent a two days workshop on Creative writing and Effective speech, conducted by Ms Kiran Misra, an eminent professor & senior English Broadcaster at the All India Radio. The sessions largely focussed upon developing different forms of poetry in the classrooms as well as gave an insight into the right pronounciation, aura, expressions & vocal variations that can be widely exercised by all the teaching fraternity. Our staff enthusiastically participated in all the activities & enhanced their learning greatly!

        Bard of Avon, William Shakespeare

        Dream Big, Sparkle More, Shine Bright (William Shakespeare)
        With this mind set the students of Class VIII of Sri VIS welcomed the Bard of Avon, William Shakespeare on May 19, 2018 in their arena. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Major General Ranjan Singh Chand, (VSM) and Mrs Radhika Chand an educationalist and an alumni of LSR.

        The show started with Oeuvre of the Bard, followed by The Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night’s Dreams, Macbeth, Julius Caesar and The Tempest. The budding maestros brought back the Elizabethan Era in the school auditorium by donning the garb of the Bard. The grandparents, parents and the guests were left spellbound by the scintillating performances of the young artists. The whole school reverberated with the thunderous applause.

            National VVM Winner

            National VVM Winner

            Heartiest Congratulations to our STEM Wizard Divyansh Garg 9 C and his parents and mentors! He has been declared the VVM North Zone of India Topper at Mumbai on May 12-13, 2018.

            Divyansh was also the Delhi State Topper in the State Camp held on Feb 18, 2018. Delhi sent 12 participants from Classes VI- XI. Vanya Jain:of Class 10 also attended the State Camp then.

            National Camp comprised Presentations, Innovation and Creativity, Out of Box activities and Assessment of Leadership Quality.

            VVM or the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a national program for educating and popularizing Science among school students of VI -XI.
            It was initiated by Vijnana Bharati VIBHA in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, under the Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and NCERT under the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

              ri VIS on the right path

              9/154 selections in the very prestigious Junior Science Talent Search Examination or JSTSE 2018 for Class 9 students of Delhi Schools, conducted by the Science Branch, Directorate of Education.

              More than 20,000/- students from all types of schools of Delhi - Govt, JNV, KV, Pratibha Vikas, Private and International took the exam on Jan 20, 2018. Cut off this year 133/200 
              50 marks - GK, 150 marks - Sc. & Math
